WFS Defense is led by William Porter, who served 28 years as a US Naval Officer before coming to WFS.

William was Commanding Officer of USS Nebraska (SSBN-739), the NAVSEA Program Manager for Strategic and Attack Submarines (PMS 392), and most recently, Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, at the Pentagon.

Mr. Porter holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, a MS degree in Engineering Management from Catholic University, and an International Executive MBA from Georgetown University. He also attended the National Security Management Course at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University.

Mr. Porter's naval education includes the Advanced Program Management Course at Defense Acquisition University and Naval Nuclear Power Training. He is certified DAWIA Level III in DOD Program Management.
